Having raced in numerous countries around the World over his two-decade career, 18-time Australian Champion David Sera will head over to race in the fourth and final round of the Taiwan Rotax Max Challenge in the DD2 category to be held at the Lihpao International Karting Circuit over September 22-24th.

For Sera, the DD2 category represents a new challenge having never raced the class. He’ll also be in unfamiliar territory driving an OTK chassis for the Rotax distributor.

I was headed over to Taiwan to help three drivers from Melbourne who I have been coaching for the last couple of years. As one of the drivers is also competing in DD2, I thought it would be a good idea to help him by driving in the same category and sharing our data. I’m fortunate enough the local Rotax importer has supplied a package for me although it’s a different type of Green this time around.”

“It’s always exciting racing in a new country against different drivers. Although I may have the experience edge, I have no doubt there’ll be a couple of quick local drivers who will want to win! My main focus is getting the Aussies on the pace and to have a chance at winning.”

The three other Australian drivers who David will coach are Ray Hong Wang (Senior Max), Ray Yu Wang (DD2) and Peter Bouzinelos (Micro Max).
